Growing up, I went to church but paid little attention and had no real knowledge of God. By the time I was a teenager, me and my family were out of the church completely. As my life continued on from there, I drew farther away from ever even thinking about God and fell deeper into the worldly perspective on things, not realizing how damaging it could be to my development or how dissatisfying my life would become because of it.

However, when a man who had knocked on my door initially to ask if I needed yard work done asked what I knew about Jesus, I immediately blurted out, “not enough”, and we proceeded to talk about God for the next hour. Since then, God has blessed me with a new hope and purpose for my life, giving me a more positive perspective of the world the more I give myself to him. With a past life of so much uncertainty and anxiety, God has instilled trust in me by clearing my path and making my future and his will clear to me.
